Reusable neonatal resuscitation equipment must be reprocessed between uses to avoid infection. Reprocessing guidelines designed for neonatal resuscitation equipment in low-resource settings
include selected components of the following process: decontamination, disassembly, cleaning, sterilization/high-level disinfection, reassembly, function testing, and storage. Anecdotally, Helping Babies Breathe country implementers had observed inadequate reprocessing in health facilities. The objectives of this study were to identify the factors leading to inadequate reprocessing of resuscitation equipment in a low-resource setting
