Respectful maternal care (RMC): Are we trending in the right direction?
A conversation about the landscape of RMC interventions in Africa and approaches to routine monitoring and evaluation

Female nurse

High quality maternal health care requires ensuring respect and dignity and the prevention of mistreatment.  A focus on the experience of care is increasingly appreciated and recognized and approaches to advancing this area continue to emerge.  However, less is known around how to routinely measure and evaluate respectful care efforts to foster accountability and to track progress.

The webinar took place  Tuesday, May 25 from 4-5:30pm EAT (Nairobi) and it explored evidence, experiences, and perspectives on routine monitoring and evaluation for respectful maternal care in Africa.

This webinar is co-hosted by the East, Central, and Southern Africa Health Community and the University of California San Francisco.
